Unnoticed on earth but proclaimed in heaven

Matthew 10:42  “And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.”
In life we may go through with no one appreciating anything that we do. Doing all the chores, taking care of our families, even extended families and yet all this seems to go unnoticed. In the home you may seem to be a shoulder always available to cry on; you may seem to be helping everybody else experience the best life has to offer and no one seems to notice. Take courage in knowing that there is someone who cares. He notices even one who gives water to a thirsting child. His message is, ‘You shall not lose your reward.’ His name is Jesus.

Jesus is so sweet you know. Nothing passes by without Him noticing. If a glass of water will be recompensed, what more one who stays up late taking care of an ailing child; what more the one who will sacrifice ‘me time’ and make sure that the family is happy; what more one who will give a helping hand even though she does not get to be paid; what more one who will go the extra mile, even staying up late to make sure that she puts a smile on her ungrateful in-laws; what more one who for the sake of peace will suffer reproach; what more for the one who is faithful even when no one sees; what more for the one who stands up for the right even if it will cost her dearly.

Day in day out, our patience is tried but let us be faithful in the least of things and God will not ignore. No act of kindness will fail to be recognized and rewarded. That which has been considered trivial here will appear as it is – worthy of a reward from God. Just do your humble duties faithful. Your reward is guaranteed.

God bless you.

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

When it was told to Sarai (Genesis 18) that she shall be with child, it seemed an impossible thing. Sarai was old and according to nature, she had passed her child bearing age. In that state she bore Isaac. Beyond comprehension! Only faith can grasp such realities.

Whenever you pray, never think that God will be limited by anything. With Him all things are possible. What makes it possible is that He is the Creator and He is in control. The Devil may think to be in control but it is only because God has allowed Him so. In the fullness of time, He will bring an end to affliction and sin (Nahum 1:9). Remember when Christ was being tried by Pilate in John 19. He reminded Pilate that Pilate could only do what he was doing because God allowed him. God has the ultimate authority and nothing is able to stand before Him.

Tell God everything whether it may be pain, sorrows, joys, cares, whatever it is. Nothing is too hard for Him. As long as it is in His will, you are sure to receive it. The Lord will never withhold any good thing from His children. He is too wise to err so we can trust Him with our lives, our hearts and our tomorrow. My friend, be encouraged in God for that is our only hope.

Stay blessed.

Take it to the Lord in Prayer

“What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear;
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear;
All because we don’t carry everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful, Who with all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness, Take it to the Lord in prayer!

Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior still our refuge, Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do thy friends despise forsake thee, Take it to the Lord in prayer
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.”
Hymn by John M Scriven 1855

What a great hymn this is! A hymn loaded with probably the solution for our lives – take it to the Lord in prayer. The hymn asks on many aspects of life – social, personal, Christian walk, whatever it is – our solution is taking it to God in prayer.

God works in marvelous ways for us. To one He may remove the obstacle, challenge, or the burden you present to Him. To another He may give you the strength to go through the storm. Whatever may be the solution – with God you are rest assured that it is the best solution.

After praying you will get peace of mind knowing that someone bigger, wiser and more capable than you is taking care of things. He says, “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. The burden may not go away but you will have new strength or strategies to face it. Sometimes the burden is totally removed. Whatever the case, God is faithful. He will not let us suffer needlessly but will be with us all the way. When faced with a temptation, He will surely show us the way out (1Cointhians 10:13).

I was once burdened with the issues of life. I surely did not have a solution, my mind was just blank. I turned to God in prayer. The next morning I woke up with a song ringing in my mind saying,
“I’ve been through the waters, and I’ve been through the flood;
I’ve been broken into pieces, seen lightning flash from above.
But through all, I remembered that He loves me and He cares;
And He’ll never put more on me than I can bear.”

Instantly I was encouraged. I believed this to be the voice of God telling me to hold on and that all is happening in His plain sight. Surely He is there and I trusted His wisdom to pilot me through it all.

Our exhortation today is never underestimate the value of prayer. Just tell it to Jesus and trust in His knowledge, wisdom, expertise, judgment, love, mercy, kindness to carry you through.
God bless you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Compliments of the new season!

I hope you had a great start to the New Year. Two weeks already gone by. It is interesting to note how much time flies. Just a few days ago we were in 2010 making resolutions for 2012 and now we are already moving with 2012. I wonder how far we are with those resolutions. The reality with time is that it does not stop for us to get geared but it just goes ticky toc.  If you had made any resolutions it is time to act and live those resolutions. This is the 2012 and it is already wasting away.

As we go on through the year I pray that you will keep your focus on our life provider Jesus Christ.
